Jerrica Farias, MN, ARNP, PMHNP-BC, graduated summa cum laude with a master’s in adult gerontology, primary care nursing, and then she embarked on a career as an advanced practice registered nurse at the University of South Florida (USF) Department of Neurology. Her daily duties involve diagnosing and treating neuromuscular ailments, overseeing the USF ALS Clinic, and supervising multiple clinical trials for new neuromuscular disease treatments. She’s been honored with the Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Award, as well as the USF Rising Star Patient Satisfaction Award for her dedication to top-tier patient care. She’s affiliated with the American Association of Neuromuscular Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Academy of Neurology, and she contributes to various speaker bureaus, presenting educational workshops on conditions like myasthenia gravis and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy. Furthermore, she offers consultancy services to pharmaceutical firms, lending her expertise to enhance educational content development.
